The Washington, DC Metropolitan Area is serviced by numerous direct flights from two international airports and one national airport, plus a robust railway network connecting it to the Northeast Corridor and many regional centers. Multiple highways and surface roads provide access to a spectrum of ground transportation options, from intercity bus lines to taxis. Regarding visas for international travelers—ACM does not issue formal letters of invitation. However, travelers can request visa support letters from supportletters “at” acm “dot” org. Requests should include the following information:
- Name as it appears on your passport
- Mailing address
- Email or fax number where you will receive the letter
- Name of the conference, “12th ACM/IEEE-Computer Science Joint Conference on Digital Libraries”
- Title and topic of your paper(s), if you are an author and/or presenter for one or more of the technical sessions during the conference

Washington Flyer—inexpensive coach service between Dulles Airport and Metro West Falls Church Station, and taxi service to and from hotels
